💳 I’ve been charged for the deposit

Why do I need to register my credit card to borrow a battery?

In some locations, registering a credit card is required to borrow a battery. Don’t worry—the service remains free as long as the battery is returned on time. Let us explain:

1. Why is a deposit required?

  • A deposit is taken to ensure the return of the battery.
  • As long as the battery is returned, no amount will be charged.

2. Why do you see a charge on your credit card?

  • When the battery is ejected, we freeze the deposit amount on your credit card.
  • This freeze is a standard measure to:
  • Prevent misuse with prepaid cards or insufficient funds.
  • Ensure coverage in case of non-return of the battery.
  • While the amount may appear as a charge, we do not actually have access to the funds. The amount is simply held by your bank.

3. How is the deposit refunded?

  • Once the battery is returned:
  • The deposit is automatically released.
  • The funds will be returned to your account.
  • Processing time: This can take a few days, depending on your bank’s policies.

4. Need help?

  • If you have questions or notice an issue, you can:
  • Contact our customer service via chat.

5. What if I don’t have a credit card?

  • Unfortunately, it won’t be possible to use the service at that specific station. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your trust and understanding! Your safety and satisfaction remain our top priority. 🎉
