💳 I’ve been charged for the deposit
Why do I need to register my credit card to borrow a battery?
In some locations, registering a credit card is required to borrow a battery. Don’t worry—the service remains free as long as the battery is returned on time. Let us explain:
1. Why is a deposit required?
- A deposit is taken to ensure the return of the battery.
- As long as the battery is returned, no amount will be charged.
2. Why do you see a charge on your credit card?
- When the battery is ejected, we freeze the deposit amount on your credit card.
- This freeze is a standard measure to:
- Prevent misuse with prepaid cards or insufficient funds.
- Ensure coverage in case of non-return of the battery.
- While the amount may appear as a charge, we do not actually have access to the funds. The amount is simply held by your bank.
3. How is the deposit refunded?
- Once the battery is returned:
- The deposit is automatically released.
- The funds will be returned to your account.
- Processing time: The refund is usually processed the same day, but depending on your bank it can take 2 to 3 days maximum.
- If you were charged but the battery never ejected, contact us with your name so we can check the payment and process the refund.
- If you still haven’t received your refund after 3 days, please contact our customer service again so we can investigate.
4. Need help?
- If you have questions or notice an issue, you can:
- Contact our customer service via chat.
5. What if I don’t have a credit card?
- Unfortunately, it won’t be possible to use the service at that specific station. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you for your trust and understanding! Your safety and satisfaction remain our top priority. 🎉
